Discover the art and science behind traditional soap making in our brand new Cold Process Soap Making Class. This immersive, hands-on experience will guide you through the entire process of crafting beautiful, natural soap from scratch, perfect for those looking to elevate their skincare routine with something truly personalized.
What to Expect:
• Set Your Intention: Begin your soap-making journey by setting an intention, focusing on what you want to achieve with your soap—whether it’s deep cleansing, gentle exfoliation, or a calming aromatic experience.
• Learn the Basics: Dive into the fascinating history of soap making and gain a clear understanding of the saponification process, which transforms oils and lye into the luxurious bars of soap you’ll create.
• Hands-On Soap Making: Get ready to roll up your sleeves! You’ll start by creating the water/lye mixture and carefully combining it with oils and butters, learning each crucial step of the process. Our instructors will guide you through reaching the perfect trace, ensuring your soap mixture is just right for the next steps.
• Personalize Your Bars: Once a light trace is reached, it’s time to make your soap uniquely yours. You’ll have the opportunity to create three distinct bars of soap, choosing from a variety of natural scents, colors, additives, and botanical garnishes. To keep things smooth, you’ll select your additives and scents before we begin the soap-making process, ensuring everything is ready to go when the time comes.
• Scent Options: While this isn’t a custom blending class, you’ll still be able to personalize your soaps with premade house blends or a scent you’ve previously enjoyed.
Take Home Your Creation: At the end of the class, you’ll leave with three handcrafted bars of soap. Due to the nature of cold process soap, your bars will need to set for 48 hours in our shop before they’re ready. You can either come back to pick them up or have them shipped directly to you.
Price: Classes start at $55 for three bars. If you want to make a pack of six, the price is just $75.
