Sweet Potato Soap

Sweet Potato Soap is a heartfelt tribute to family, heritage, and skincare. My dad’s pies are a family treasure, the closest thing to my grandmother’s recipe, and a staple of our Thanksgiving celebrations—just like Sweet Potato Pie and Candied Yams are for so many Black American households. This soap draws from the principles of African Black Soap, with plantain replaced by a nourishing sweet potato puree made with oat milk, ground cinnamon, nutmeg, vanilla extract, and colloidal oatmeal.

Crafted with shea butter, cocoa butter, and coconut oil, this soap delivers a creamy, skin-loving lather that’s gentle and hydrating. Fragrance-free, it relies on the natural warmth of its ingredients to evoke memories of home and tradition. Sweet Potato Soap is not only a celebration of the African Diaspora but also a personal reflection of the love and legacy my dad’s cooking represents.
